Students in grades 9-12 participate in a youth group
with social justice and environmental service opportunities. Youth group meetings are held during the
service on Sunday mornings. Meeting
topics this year include seminar speakers who share their career
experiences and discuss how their work relates to the UU faith,
as well as worship associate training combined with planning and
leading services.
Service
opportunities include helping at a local food pantry and assisting
at a soup kitchen. Youth group members
also have a variety of opportunities for involvement in interfaith
activities, including social events and service activities
culminating in a summer service project in the
Dominican Republic . High school students may also assist in youth
religious education classrooms.
