7 February 2010
Whether
you are a founding or longtime member, a friend or newcomer, you may
easily understand that SUUS truly is a congregation formed out of
community. It is the community of ideas and values, honest debate, and
support for one another's spiritual journey that brings us
together. It is our caring community which shapes this church and our
commitment to be together. As such, it is also the financial support
from the community which funds our
vision and aspirations.
This is the meaning of stewardship; to care for one another and take
responsibility for our community. Each Unitarian Universalist
congregation is self-sustaining: our primary source of financial
support comes from our members who make financial gifts to the
congregation. We know that if this congregation and this faith are to
live into the future for our children and grandchildren, we must care
for this institution and keep it strong.
The 2010 - 2011 Stewardship Brochure and Pledge Form are now available. Please visit our Generosity Page to learn more about Stewardship and to download the current Pledge Form.
