The Rev. Claudia Elferdink,“Blossoms Even in
War” Flower Ceremony Sunday is a long tradition
here at Shoreline UU. It was begun by Rev.
Norbert Capek in Nazi-occupied Prague.Dating
back to World War II,we each bring flowers
from gardens, fields and markets to create a
bouquet celebrating a love of peace, our gifts,
our diversity and our beloved community. This
variation on communion is one that is uniquely
Unitarian Universalist. Gardeners are needed to
help bring in our bounty for all to share. Please
see Rev. Claudia if you can help.We will welcome
New Members and enjoy a skit from R.E.
