With great joy and hope I gladly accept your call to be your Settled
Minister at Shoreline UU. It is an honor to serve this amazing congregation.
I'll never forget walking into the meeting room after the Congregational meeting and seeing
your smiles, red eyes and tears. A feeling of relief and joy permeated the room. I felt deeply called. It felt very good.
Sunday, February 10 was a remarkable day for me and for the congregation. What really made
it remarkable was what led up to your decision. The effort to have so many much needed
conversations about SUUS's future was long and challenging. But every moment was needed to
face important issues and build better communication among many people. I feel fortunate to
be the lucky Minister at this turning point in your history. You did it so well. It was a
pleasure to watch this congregation come together. Now we are ready to move into our mission
together.
