In honor of the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day on April 22, the SUUS Green Team has chosen the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) to be the recipient of our Share The Plate Offering. They are a bipartisan, statewide, nonprofit organization dedicated to giving our environment a voice at the Capitol. During session, they inform lawmakers and the public about key environmental priorities, track critical votes, and hold our leaders accountable.
The Share the Plate program aims to embody SUUS’s principles and values by showcasing an organization that we will support each month. By donating 50% of our cash offering each week to a designated charity, we offer our congregation and all who visit SUUS a chance to become aware of the many needs in the area and the opportunity to make a difference in the world.
