SEA’s Activity List for This Week

While we are in this period of physical distancing and cannot host programs at SUUS or travel together, the SEA (Social Events and Activities) Committee is going to share some viewing and online experiences each week. If you would like to suggest an activity for this weekly list, please email Kathy Helmrich, kahelmrich@yahoo.com

Family Activities

A couple of weeks ago we suggested National Geographic’s resources for kids. Here is a delightful song and dance video –

Take a Trip to England

Up until the middle of March I (Kathy) thought I’d be arriving in London this week. Instead I’m enjoying some English experiences from home. Here are some you may enjoy.

Each week while it is closed the National Theater in London is streaming a production. This week’s presentation is “Antony and Cleopatra”.

Another venue sharing programming is the Royal Albert Hall. A variety of musical styles and artists’ performances is available

Last week we recommended the New York Botanical Garden’s virtual tours. This garden was begun after its first director was inspired by a visit to Kew Garden London over 100 years ago. This week enjoy a visit to Kew.

You could probably fill a month in London by visiting a different museum every day. Of the well-known ones the British Museum is at the top of many lists. Today you can do a virtual tour while at home.
