Faith Formation Weekly News – 9/10/2020

Dear SUUS Families,

I am so excited to join you in worship this coming Sunday for Water Communion and share a Story for All. We will also be doing a “Blessing of Electronic Devices” so I ask that you have your device handy, if separate from what you use to participate in worship, along with an item from nature (e.g., flower, rock, acorn, blade of grass or leaf).

If you haven’t had a chance yet, I invite you to fill out our Faith Formation survey along with the online registration form for this year. One silver lining in the pandemic is our switch to online forms and saving paper! A special thanks to our Board President, Mary Strieff, for helping to create. I also encourage you to check out the new SUUS website and see what you think! https://www.shorelineunitarian.org/

“Restless Beauty”
Rev. Jeanne will conduct our annual service intergenerational water communion, lifting up the power of water to serve as a reminder to each of us of the beauty, rhythm and balance needed in our lives to restore our souls. All are invited to participate in this special ritual that symbolizes the official re-gathering, once again, of our congregation for the coming year. You may participate by sharing with Rev. Jeanne a photo of a place with water that is meaningful to you by September 10th (email: minister@shorelineunitarian.org). Please also bring an electronic device, if separate from what you use to participate in worship, along with an item from nature (e.g., flower, rock, acorn, blade of grass or leaf).
