Faith Formation News – 2/11/21

Dear SUUS Families,

Valentine’s Day is this Sunday, and we are going to have a ZOOM bash to celebrate LOVE, FRIENDSHIP & BELOVED COMMUNITY! Jennifer Swenson and Family have prepared some awesome crafts and activities for us to do together on Zoom. Activity packets will be available for pick-up starting tomorrow at SUUS.

Speaking of pick-up, we have received a ton of food for Amistad Catholic Worker House (YAY!), and we need a family to make a delivery to New Haven ASAP. Please be in touch if you are interested and available. This is a wonderful opportunity for the whole family to safely participate in this Social Justice Project.

Hope to see you on Sunday morning! Check out the full details below, and don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes!

Love,
Amy

p.s. Did you catch my blurb from last week about the SEA committee and FUNuary?! Well, this week is “Don’t Cry Over Spilled Milk Week!” As a parent, I might change the title slightly to say, “Don’t YELL Over Spilled Milk Week!” I know I am guilty of this, and it’s a good reminder that we all make mistakes, and apologizing to our children and forgiving ourselves are great life lessons for the whole family! Check out the SEA post with ideas for the whole family to participate in “letting regrets go” here: https://www.shorelineunitarian.org/2021/02/07/uus-get-ready-our-2nd-fun-week-in-funuary-is-coming-up/
