Madison Green-Up, Clean-Up! Go team SUUS!

Dear SUUS Families,

Faith Formation has been so busy cleaning up our community and I can’t thank you enough for your participation! And special thanks to our amazing coordinator Beth Skudder for providing the opportunities! Let’s keep the momentum going this weekend and join Chris Jobson and the SUUS “House & Grounds” crew on Saturday, May 1 from 9am- 1pm for a final clean-up at SUUS! Families are encouraged to participate for any amount of time you are able to donate. Following the clean-up, MOMs Group will meet at Briana Ben-Mirandi’s at 1pm. This is a special gathering for ALL SUUS MOMs of ANY AGE or ANY STAGE! Check out details below.

The month of May invites us to consider our ideas around “STORY” and what it means to be a “people of STORY.” Faith Formation Families are invited to gather outdoors on Sunday, May 2 at 1pm to explore “STORY” together. What is the “STORY” we want to share about SUUS and FAITH FORMATION? Who are we? What do we do? I can think of lots of ideas already. Bring your minds and your hearts and join me this weekend! And don’t forget your dancing shoes!

Love,
Amy

p.s. I will also come with a very special visitor on Sunday. Come and find out who it is…!!! Hint: “ROAR!”

SOCIAL JUSTICE
Amistad Catholic Worker House Food Drive
FAMILY NEEDED! We are coming to the end of the food drive and need a family to help with the final delivery. Any takers?! So far we have made TWO deliveries thanks to the Skudder Jobson & Martino Families! There are several outdoors SUUS events happening as the weather gets warmer, so please consider supporting our neighbors at Amistad Catholic Worker House in East Haven, CT where Luz Catarineau and her husband Mark Colville have been feeding the homeless since 1994. Now more than ever they need our help, and even in a global pandemic they continue to provide breakfast and lunch to those in need. Please review the list below and if you are able, kindly deliver your items to the covered bins at the top outdoor stairs at SUUS. If you are unable to contribute food at this time, they are always accepting prayers. For more information about Amistad, please visit their website: https://amistadcw.wordpress.com/
