Dear SUUS Families,
Last Sunday, Faith Formation Families welcomed a new member! Please meet “Amber,” the Amur Tiger that we adopted from the Beardsley Zoo earlier this year. As part of the adoption, animal sponsorship funds will be used for exhibit renovations, special enrichment items and most importantly, to support conservation programs at the Zoo and in the wild. Welcome to the SUUS Family, Amber!
It’s official! The skull that was discovered during our Earth Day clean-up at SUUS is a BOBCAT! How cool is that?! Special thanks to Tom Lee for his investigative research! We have so many wonderful “stories” to tell. Stay tuned for one the children are working on about Amber the Amur Tiger…
We will not have a Faith Formation gathering this Sunday because it’s Mother’s Day! Happiest of days to those who nurture and care for others! See you next week!

Let us honor the spirit of caring at the heart of this role, a role played in many ways by those who brought us into this world, by those who foster new life and growth, and by the great Mother Earth that sustains all life within and around us.

Amistad Catholic Worker House Food Drive
FAMILY NEEDED! We are coming to the end of the food drive and need a family to help with the final delivery. Any takers?! So far we have made TWO deliveries thanks to the Skudder Jobson & Martino Families! There are several outdoors SUUS events happening as the weather gets warmer, so please consider supporting our neighbors at Amistad Catholic Worker House in East Haven, CT where Luz Catarineau and her husband Mark Colville have been feeding the homeless since 1994. Now more than ever they need our help, and even in a global pandemic they continue to provide breakfast and lunch to those in need. Please review the list below and if you are able, kindly deliver your items to the covered bins at the top outdoor stairs at SUUS. Saturday, June 5 from 1 – 3pm: SUUS MOMs Group hosted by Karis Lagasse
Thank you, Briana Benn-Mirandi for hosting the May MOMs Group! Please mark your calendar for the June gathering. There will be a bonfire, sharing of joys and concerns, companionship and connection. Masks are required. Rsvp’s are welcomed and encouraged. Chairs and open minds will be provided.
