Dear SUUS Families,
What joy it was to celebrate our 2021 Coming of Age class and spend time together last Sunday! It was an unforgettable day, which started out on Zoom and ended with a fabulous party at SUUS hosted by Jennifer Swenson & Family! We ate, played and got totally soaked! Thank you, Jennifer, for creating a day filled with FAMILY FUN! Viviana and I came home with a pile of wet clothes and hearts filled to the brim with LOVE! A special thanks goes to Kathy Helmrich, Benna Lehrer and Rev. Terry for surprising me with gratitude during the service. I was literally speechless (which doesn’t happen often!). Thank you so much for your kindness. It is an honor to serve SUUS, and I thank all who participated either in body and/or spirit in this wonderful celebration of our Faith Formation Family!
But wait, it’s not over yet! We will take a short Faith Formation break this weekend and then regather on June 5 for MOMs Group, and then on June 6 we will make a special visit to Chase Pond in Hammonassett for a tour of the Purple Martin nests. Please see details below.
The church year may be coming to an end, but Faith Formation Families are invited to continue gathering during the summer! Please mark your calendar for the June gathering. There will be a bonfire, sharing of joys and concerns, companionship and connection. Masks are required. Rsvp’s are welcomed and encouraged. Chairs and open minds will be provided.
