In October we will Share the Plate in two ways: On October 3 ONLY, the plate will be shared with NXTHVN, a non-profit group training studio artists and curators, and reaching into the community to foster arts education for their fellows and high school apprentices.
The SUUS Racial Justice Group chose this donation to honor our guest speaker/singer on that day, Lea Morris.
For the rest of the month, we will share our donations with the Alliance for Justice Action Campaign, an organization working in the courts and proposing legislation to secure women’s reproductive rights, gender equality in pay and the workplace, and the rights of minorities, particularly in the LGBTQ community. Members of the AFJAC include the Center for Reproductive Rights, Abortion Care Network, Advocates for Youth, National Abortion Federation, and the National Council of Jewish Women.
