News from the Board – 10/28/21

Bringing you a short but sweet update this week. We will be trying out 2 new ideas that will hopefully warm your hearts and bodies during our multi-platform services!

SUUS will be purchasing some gas heaters, like the kind you see at restaurants, for use in our outdoor worship service and Faith Formation areas. These should help to keep the chill away.

For those who would like to step inside to warm up, the sanctuary will be open on multi-platform Sundays. One of our Greeters will be handing out cards to keep track of how many will be going inside to keep within the maximum of 24 people. Those who go inside will need to wear masks and keep six feet of distance between yourselves and those not within your household. You will be able to watch the service on the white board. You won’t however be able to interact with those over zoom or outside and singing is not allowed indoors.

And as much as I dislike losing an hour of light at the end of our day, changing the clocks to an hour later November 7th will mean that the next multi-platform service on November 14th has an extra hour for the day to warm up before we come out to see one another in the beautiful fresh air and hopefully sunshine. So, layer up, bring a chair and blanket and join us in person for two important services in November. On the 14th join us for Rev. Terry’s service followed by our Fall Congregational meeting to discuss our new Vision Fund management. On the 21st Rev. Terry, Amy and Nick will be bringing us our multi-platform and multi-generational Thanksgiving service.
