Update from the Board of Trustees

Welcome to November! Lots of exciting things happening at SUUS this month!

This week, a few handy people will be assembling our new gas heaters which we will use at our multi-platform services on November 14th and 21st. Come join us in person and check it out! The attendance records for our October multi-platform services shows we had 31 and 39 people plus children attending in person.

We also have our new fire pit and 8 comfy chairs ready for use by small groups. Please contact our Office Administrator, Martha Wells Hoffman to reserve the fire pit space.

On November 7th, we are thrilled to have Rev. Megan Lloyd Joiner join us from Atlanta over zoom. We will have a brief fellowship time to greet her after the service and then have our 2nd Town Hall to review the new Vision Fund proposal and take questions.

You will be able to attend the Fall Congregational meeting on November 14th either in person or over zoom. Refreshments will be served outdoors for those attending in person.

Our Covid-19 Protocol team will be meeting this month as well to assess recommendations for gathering in person.

We will schedule some breakout rooms during fellowship time later this month to check in with everyone on how people are feeling about congregational life at SUUS these days. Just an informal discussion and listening session. If anyone has any questions or concerns to discuss privately, please reach out to myself or any board member.

As always, I thank our SUUS leadership, volunteers, and our hard-working staff and Reverend Terry for bringing their very best during these constantly changing and challenging times.

In Faith,
Sue Schaedler
