Faith Formation News – 12/2/21

Olivia, Maisey, Ava, Ann & Benna serving at the Community Meal Center in New London last week!
Go TEAM SUUS!

Dear SUUS Families,

Happy December! It’s the fifth night of Hanukkah, and we enter the month “Opening to JOY!” Yes, that is our December theme, and I welcome you to join us this Sunday, December 5 at 1pm for an outdoor Family Chapel at SUUS to explore all things JOYFUL! We will have heat lamps and the fire pit will be roaring as we celebrate together the JOY of the season. We will make chalice ornaments and practice Christmas carols ahead of our event next Sunday, December 12 (see below for more details!). I sure hope you can join us!

Love,
Amy

p.s. Thank you to our amazing SUUS team (Olivia, Maisey, Ava, Ann & Benna) who served at the Community Meal Center along with youth from All Souls New London!

p.p.s. Thank you to those who braved the elements last Sunday and came to the nature canter, and then hiked the Cedar Island trail in search of the seals! We didn’t see any, but the possibility sure was exciting!

Faith Formation Happenings

WORSHIP
Sunday, December 5 at 10:30am via ZOOM – “Bodies of Water”
Elise Morrison
Our bodies are approximately two-thirds water. This is a startling fact when you compare the fluid nature of a stream or ocean to our own solid feeling flesh and bones. How might we make spiritual sense of this kinship that we have with the blue watery planet that fosters us?
