Update from the Board of Trustees

The motion to adopt the new bylaws for the Vision Fund has passed!  Thanks to all who attended and voted at the Fall Congregational Meeting where it was discussed. The next steps will be to update the SUUS bylaws with the amendment which the Endowment Rewrite Team will work on, and to appoint 3 new interim Vision Fund Custodians. The board will be looking for nominees to take up the Custodian role as was described in the Vision Fund Charter. The role is considered interim until July when they then would hopefully stay on and be voted in for the longer term as described in the charter.  If anyone has an interest in being a Custodian, please let myself or Gary Feder know.

The board, Reverend Terry, and our super knowledgeable and talented staff members are thinking creative thoughts to determine a way for us to gather in person and over Zoom on some of our Sunday morning worship services. In December, we will most likely still be doing multi-platform outside (with indoor options) and on Zoom as we work out the best way to move forward with more indoor options for when we are doing multi-platform services.

I encourage everyone to take a look at this inspiring message from our New England Regional staff as we head into December and the holiday season at this link:  https://www.uua.org/new-england/blog/holy-slowly

In Faith,
Sue Schaedler
