Our January worship theme is “Living with Intention.” Our guest minister, Rev. David Horst asks, “What is the difference between setting intentions and setting goals? How can we cultivate our ‘being’ and become less obsessive about our ‘doing? Why are we ambivalent about making changes to our lives? Consider some rituals and practices that help us cultivate our living intentionally.”
Among his many accomplishments in our Unitarian Universalist faith, Rev. Horst is an affiliate minister at All Souls New London church; the founder of The Open Circle, a spiritual direction practice for individuals and groups based in Norwich; and Community Minister/Outreach Worker at the New London Homeless Hospitality Center. He served Unitarian Universalist congregations in settled and interim ministries in the Boston area, Nantucket, and New Jersey from 1999 to 2019. Prior to his ministerial career, he worked in public relations, advertising and marketing, and arts and event management.
