Sunday, Sept. 18, 10:30AM: Sam King – “Belonging to an Earth Community”



How can the James Webb Space Telescope rekindle our sense of belonging to an Earth community? This service will weave together insights from the Webb telescope and the Journey of the Universe project, exploring how a deep time perspective can help galvanize the shift toward a flourishing planetary civilization.

Samuel King is a recent graduate in Religion and Ecology at Yale Divinity School. A former high school teacher, he is also a Teaching Fellow for Yale courses in Asian Religions and Ecology and Environmental History and Values. Sam serves as Educational Outreach Coordinator for Journey of the Universe, a multimedia project weaving together the sciences with the spiritual insights of humanity to address the great challenges of our time.
