Rev. Sumi Loundon Kim is the Buddhist chaplain at Yale University. Raised in a Zen community and a graduate of Harvard Divinity School, she is the author of Blue Jean Buddha; The Buddha’s Apprentices; Sitting Together; and the children’s book Goodnight Love. Sumi and her husband, a native of Korea, Zen priest, and professor of Buddhist Studies at Yale, have two adult children.
