Shoreline adult religious education offers several formal adult courses during the year, besides the almost weekly discussion time after the coffee hour and regular meetings for newcomers that involve the minister, religious educator, and the membership committee. Please check the calendar and posts for the latest offerings.
Small Group Ministries
Also known as “covenant groups” and “chalice circles,” Small Group Ministry is a vital part of many Unitarian Universalist congregations. Small Group Ministries offer us space and community to explore our lives through a spiritual lens. Reflecting, speaking, and listening are core activities in each session, and, small groups are great places to get to know other people and to get to know yourself better!
In each session, participants have the opportunity to share their perspectives, tell their stories, and listen deeply. The time together is structured: sessions begin and end with centering readings and often include a time of silence before the sharing begins.
These groups of 10-12 people meet regularly to reflect on and discuss significant life topics. Over time, participants build deep connections with one another, with the congregation and with the sacred. If you are interested in signing up for this six session program, contact Lily Rojas by EMAIL.
Shoreline CUUPS is a recognized as a chapter of the UUA CUUPS. It is a community for those interested in earth-based spirituality, green living, holistic lifestyles, metaphysical subjects, ancestral history and lore. We gather to celebrate the seasonal cycles and delve deeper into the mysteries of life, in partnership with Shoreline Unitarian Universalist Society, our larger “family”.
Sea of Soul Shrine is a sister to Shrine of the Universal Dance in Meriden, Connecticut and is a teaching circle for those interested in pursuing Correllian Nativist Wicca, with deeper studies, more profound experiences and even a path to clergy status for those passionate seekers.
