The Building Enhancement Committee (BEC) has been given the green light to proceed with the approved projects at SUUS! Check out the BEC Corner in the Coffee Room for details and pictures of the work coming up. Here is a partial list of what will be happening over the next three to six months and includes our A and B list of priorities:
- remove all rotting wood and debris from exterior
- new siding and shutters on the exterior
- new windows on original house
- new landing on main entrance
- new front door to the street entrance
- new and additional handrails for accessibility
- new exterior lighting for better visibility
- repaired fire escape for safety
- interior painting of main floor
- new lighting main floor and RE rooms
- new chairs in sanctuary
- new chairs in library
- new bathroom fixtures, main floor
- dishwasher for coffee room
We are so excited about this work finally getting done. Please know there will be disruptions and inconveniences during this time and we ask you to be patient. Coordinating a dozen different projects and waiting for one to be done before another can be started can be frustrating. So let’s all help our BEC team with our support.
