Meditation Sessions begin at SUUS this month

Meditation:  Wednesdays, October 17, 24, 31 and November 7, 10 to 11 a.m.,

Scientific research has shown many benefits of a regular meditation practice including reduced stress, lower blood pressure, increased happiness, better sleep and improved brain function.   These sessions are for those who have never practiced meditation as well experienced meditators.

Lori Lowe will lead the first session on October 17.  Her past and ongoing study has been with Jon Kabat- Zinn, Saki Santorelli at the  UMASS, Center for Mindfulness Study and OMEGA with Florence Melio Myers. She has also studied with SN Goenka, Executive Leadership in Vipassana Meditation.  Her personal style incorporates the work of Pema Chodren as well as Thich Nhat Hanh.  Her goal is to “get the world meditating, then we can tackle world peace.”
