Multigenerational Workshops this Sunday, January 19

Social-JusticePlease join the Social Justice Committee and Social Connections Pillar this Sunday, January 19th as we commemorate Martin Luther King Day.  Following coffee hour, we will offer congregants a choice of one of two workshops from 12:00-12:45 to honor the lives of slaves in CT during times of slavery.

Workshop #1:
For adults and youth in the Sanctuary, Dennis Culliton, co-founder of the Witness Stones Project in Guilford, will speak about the project and its goal to credit and acknowledge those who were enslaved in the northern states during the 17th to 19th centuries.

Workshop #2:
For adults and children in the Fellowship Hall there will be a workshop to share the stories of an enslaved Guilford family and create a poster together to learn about and pay tribute to the family.

Please join us!  These are workshops of great import.  We hope that adults looking for a multigenerational experience will consider attending the adult-child coffee hour workshop.
