Faith Formation News – 11/23/21

Dear SUUS Families,

THANK YOU to all who participated in the Thanksgiving Food Drive. We donated 187 pounds of food to the Madison Food Pantries along with Thanksgiving cards for homebound residents of the community!

Next up! On Sunday, November 28 at 1pm we will meet at Meigs Point Nature Center at Hammonassett Beach State Park. RSVP is required so please let me know if you can attend, and how many are in your party. Following the nature center we will hike the Cedar Island Trail.

Wishing you ALL a Happy, Safe & Healthy Thanksgiving!

Love,
Amy

p.s. Thank you to our youth advisors, Benna Lehrer & Enrique Alvarez for gathering the youth to wrap socks and gloves for the Community Meal Center in New London. Twenty bags are stuffed and ready to go on November 30th! It was great to see our SUUS youth at church too! Woohoo!

Rev. Terry Sweetser
The mid-winter holidays are more about light and heat, about festivals of fire, than they are about religion. These may be minor religious holidays but they have major importance to our feelings of well-being and hope. As Hanukkah begins it’s time to light the candles!
