Dear SUUS Families,
Happy 2022! Despite what we all might be feeling right now, YES, it is a happy one because of the strength, hope and dedication of this faith community and what we can do together. Although the start of the new year was not exactly what many of us had hoped for and/or anticipated, but what it does offer is an opportunity to lean in to our faith and on each other.
The original weekend plan was to gather at Hammonasset this Sunday to “Pitch In & Pick Up trash, but due to the snow we are now going to meet at 1pm to HIKE at CHATFIELD HOLLOW in Killingworth. We will meet in the parking lot of the main entrance. Address and details are below.

P.S. Faith Formation is looking for a steward(s) for our Little Free Library! This is a great opportunity for an individual and/or the whole family to do a year long project! Tend our little library with guidance from the national LFL organization to create special opportunities and resources to serve the greater community! Perhaps February consists of books related to Black History Month or the post is decorated for Valentine’s Day. Could we add a smaller box for canned goods and feed those who need a book and something to eat? There are many ideas for tending our library and making it grow fruitful for the whole community. What ideas might you have? Thanks for considering it! Please be in touch if you are interested.
