In April, we will share our plate with the Water Protector Legal Collective, an indigenous-led legal non-profit that provides support and advocacy for Indigenous peoples, Original Nations, the Earth, and climate justice movements. Born out of the #NoDAPL movement, the Water Protector Legal Collective served as the on-the-ground legal team at Standing Rock, ND, and works to protect the sacred, supports indigenous sovereignty and self-determination, advocates for the earth and climate justice, and calls for corporations to be held accountable for their exploitation while redressing the harms they have caused.
