Update from the Board of Trustees

We are 4 weeks into our in-person, indoor multi-platform Sunday services and in-person indoor Faith Formation classes.  We’ve gathered information and learned a few things during this process.  The Worship Team staff and Covid-19 Protocol Team have been meeting and have shared some new ideas and suggestions to the Board of Trustees.  Watch the weekly news towards the end of the month for exciting potential changes!

This year, please join us for a multigenerational & multi-platform Easter worship service at 10:30 at Hammonasset Beach Pavilion in the area behind the Meigs Point Nature Center.  You can park in the lot near the Nature Center.  Look for the balloons to see where we are located and to find the closest parking area.  You will not need to sign up for this service.  Because of the location, and because we want to try out new forms of live streaming, the online option to join the service will be over Facebook Live.

If you haven’t checked out our SUUS Facebook page yet, please do!  You’ll find lots of interesting SUUS and UU related content there.  You’ll find the link anytime from our SUUS website by clicking on the Facebook icon on the home page.  You can also try it out by clicking here:

As usual, we will still send out the weekly reminder to join the service, but for the Easter service, the link provided will be to watch it LIVE – streaming over Facebook rather than Zoom.  You will be able to comment or like things during the service, but those comments and likes will only be seen by those on the Facebook live service.  On Sunday morning, you can click on the link at 10:15 to wait for the service to begin at 10:30.  The service will be the top story in the Facebook feed.

As always, we appreciate your continued support and participation as we navigate these changing times.

In Faith,
Sue Schaedler
