Dear SUUS Families,
Thank you to all who donated to the Stuff a Backpack Project! The children stuffed 56 bags that will be delivered to the New London Homeless Hospitality Center this Sunday. Thanks in advance to Jennifer Swenson, Penny & Gordon for making the special delivery! What a wonderful way to conclude the February theme of LOVE with the generosity of giving from this loving congregation. THANK YOU!
Please join us this Sunday, March 5 at 10:30am for Worship & Faith Formation at SUUS. There is also OWL class at 10am in New London. This Sunday Faith Formation will begin Exploring the challenges and paths of vulnerability. What makes you vulnerable? Is it making new friends? Taking up a new hobby? Showing your true self? Let the Exploration begin!
What’s NEW?
Faith Formation RECYCLING CENTER! Did you know that Faith Formation has created a recycling center in the Fellowship Hall? Here are the details!
PLASTIC BAGS – There is a massive cardboard bin for plastic film (grocery bags, amazon plastic delivery bags, plastic produce bags etc!) Forget bringing them back to the grocery store. Instead make it part of your Sunday routine and bring them to church!
BATTERIES – Please don’t dispose your batteries in the regular garbage, instead bring them to church! There is a marked plastic draw for battery collection.
LIGHTBULBS – LED’s? Bring ’em on over! Please don’t buy bulbs with mercury, but if you do have some please bring them to church and we will deliver to the hazardous waste recycling center.

Sunday, March 12 – Multigen Worship Service featuring the UU Westport Teen Choir! Faith Formation Families are invited to help us greet and worship together with our friends down the shoreline. We are looking for greeters, chalice lighters, storyteller and special coffee hour/brunch volunteers! This is shaping up to be a fabulous service and I hope you can join together in a celebration of our beloved UU CT community!

Would you like to have your child Dedicated this year? Children of all ages are welcome to be Dedicated. Please be in touch with Rev. Jade or me if you are interested.

*Worship & Faith Formation begin at 10:30am (unless otherwise noted) and Faith Formation concludes when coffee hour begins at which point Parents & Caregivers are responsible for children. Thank you!
REGISTRATION: Children & youth must be REGISTERED ONLINE to participate in Faith Formation activities.
CHILDCARE: Childcare will be provided on Faith Formation Exploration days only. We encourage all families to participate in whole congregation worship for multigenerational services. Children ages preK and younger can sign-in with Childcare Assistant at 10:15pm in the Fellowship Hall. Parents/Guardians will need to sign children out after worship.

COVID 19 SAFETY: Masks required indoors for all over 2 years of age. We encourage all who are eligible to be vaccinated to the fullest extent possible. During our small group Faith Formation Exploration time masks are optional. If you are feeling even the slightest bit sick OR have been around someone who has been sick, please keep your mask on.
