What does it means to slow down and recognize enough?  In an era of extraction and depletion, maybe scorched expresso holds some wisdom for us all.

Lauren Maxwell is originally from Aiken, South Carolina. She is currently enrolled as a Master of Divinity candidate at Yale Divinity School. At Yale, Lauren focuses on spiritual care in the climate crisis, moral and spiritual responses to public injustice, and chaplaincy. Lauren is also a writer and musician. Over the years, Lauren has lived in Baltimore, Cleveland, Nashville, and New York. She finds deep spiritual inspiration in the beauty of art and solace of nature. These days, she lives with her husband John and beloved terrier Herbie in New Haven.
