In October we will share our plate with Hawkwing, a Connecticut-based organization that, for more than twenty years, has served the people of the Cheyenne River Sioux/Lakota Tribe in South Dakota to help the people on the reservation overcome generational poverty and adversity and empower them to enhance health and education, end hunger, and bring clean water.
Founder Rochelle Ripley writes that Hawkwing is continuing its Annual Holiday Give Away for the children and educational and medical support. They have added a clean water project to put reverse osmosis filters in homes and facilities. They have also opened a free store that people can “shop” in as an incentive for getting medical check-ups for them and their children, helping with someone in need or other activities to benefit others. Hawkwing has impacted the lives of nearly every person on CRST. Hawkwing is changing lives, healing hearts.
