Members of the Madison Affordable Housing Committee will be meeting with us after the coffee hour this Sunday, October 22.
The committee is charged with making recommendations to the town about how to implement the affordable housing plan required by state law that the town adopted in June 2022.
Before it begins to develop recommendations, the committee would like to hear from Madison residents about their experiences with housing and what they think is the best way for the town to expand housing opportunities for our community.
The committee is still very much in listening mode and intends to hear from as many individuals, congregations, and community groups as possible and is meeting with folks where they are in the community in order to better understand their views, concerns, and questions about affordable housing.
We hope Madison residents and any interested folks from other communities will join us and take advantage of this opportunity to have your views heard.
