SAVE THE DATE: Winter Hike on Monday, January 20 at noon

Join Sue Schaedler and Beth Skudder for some fresh air and exercise at 12:00noon on Monday, January 20th at Chatfield Hollow State Park in Killingworth (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Day.) We will walk a rugged trail in the woods so proper footwear will be needed. Roundtrip is almost 4 miles with some elevation changes (let’s say “moderate difficulty”) so while this is an all-ages-friendly hike, please keep that in mind as you decide to join us. Deep snow and/or ice will cancel, but rain and no ice is OK and we’ll still go.

Pack a lunch or good snack so we can take a break together. Bring a travel mug for hot chocolate and a chair to sit by the campfire if they’d like. . Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome.

Meet up: Enter the park and keep driving straight into the park and past the gate house (road will be open for the holiday) and turn left at the pavilion to go
to the “bus parking” area, near the swamp trail boardwalk.
