  Eleanor Roosevelt led a storied life which transformed the world. Yet, her life of loss and betrayal did not thwart her from believing she could be a part of building a better world. How did Eleanor Roosevelt acquire the trust to overcome enormous obstacles and become a model of relational trust from deep friendships to seeking global peace? 

William Lord Margraf is a third year student at Yale Divinity School. He is a native New Yorker where he has practiced clinical social work with marginalized communities. In the 1990’s he was a Franciscan brother working at a parish on the Upper West Side as well as serving in Harlem. William is fascinated by the artistic process as well as finding meaning and making repair with regard to racial reconciliation in contemporary communities as well as his own family history.
