This year’s organizer, Karen, shared the following:
“I am truly in awe of SUUS. Even though I needed to leave before dinner to take care of my little ones, I heard the most wonderful reports from my fellow walkers about the evening. We could not sustain a walk without communities like yours. The energy and love we encountered on the Guilford Green and as we made our way to Madison was EXACTLY the boost we needed.
I do believe these efforts – generous hospitality, a faithful witness, neighbors uplifting neighbors – have a far reaching impact. A blessed Easter to all of you!”
If you are interested in the anti-nuclear weapons movement, the walkers have left brochures and cards in the Fellowship Hall. We watched a short movie in the sanctuary after dinner, The Beginning of the End to Nuclear Weapons and they also recommend A House of Dynamite, with Idris Elba, now showing on Netflix.
