September Share the Plate: Call to Care Uganda

SUUS has supported this Madison based NGO
from the time of their first well.

They now have drilled 109 wells that are currently serving over 97,000 people in Uganda.

Girls who used to spend hours walking with 40-pound jerry cans to fetch water can now go to school.

The health of the entire community improves and needless deaths due to diarrhea, dysentery and other waterborne illnesses are reduced dramatically.

Community members now have the time to focus on tending crops, starting businesses and learning new skills.

CTCU made a pledge to the United Nations to drill 100 new wells by 2030. To date they have drilled 38 of those wells. Each well costs $8000 and takes two weeks to complete.

Additionally, CTCU has expanded to fund some development projects, like The Malaria Prevention and Education Program, the Kalaki Unity School, and a school “twinning” program. See their website for more information, calltocareuganda.org, and thank you for your generosity!
