Dear SUUS Families,
WELCOME BACK! I hope your summer was restful and fun and that you are settling in to the new school year and routine. I know for many this is a huge change, our family included. The last time my daughter attended in-person school was for kindergarten, and now she’s in second grade! Where did the time go? Does anyone else feel similarly?
The new year invites us back to our SUUS “home;” a place of comfort, support and fellowship, and I look forward to welcoming you as we regather this Sunday, September 12 at 10:30am OUTDOORS at SUUS for Water Communion and Backpack Blessing. Please bring a chair, mask, water and a backpack as we join together in community and embark on our monthly theme of “Embracing Possibility.”
What possibilities might we explore? Please join us this Sunday, in-person or on Zoom, as we begin our journey together!

Saturday, September 18 at 6:30pm – Family MOVIE NIGHT at SUUS!
Join us outside for a film and some fun! We will watch the movie “SING” and enjoy popcorn and snacks. Families & Friends are welcome to join! Please bring a chair, mask, reusable water bottle and a book for the Little Free Library!
Sunday, September 19 during 10:30am Multi-Platform Outdoor Worship – All Ages Activity
Join us for OUTDOOR worship where we will have a special ALL AGES activity during the second half of the service. Stay tuned for more details next week!
Sunday, September 26 at 1pm – Faith Formation Family Chapel & Activity

YOUTH GROUP
September 24 – September 25: CT YOUTH CAMP CON
Where: Kettletown State Park (Southbury, CT)
What: Unitarian Universalist youth groups from Westport, Hamden, Danbury, Madison and New London will be holding a fall camping Retreat to kick off this new congregational year. The purpose of this overnight is to deepen our statewide connections, learn new games and leadership skills, share through worship, and further bond.
