Religious Education News – June 6, 2018

The first annual Beach Service and Picnic is happening this Sunday, June 10, at Jacob’s Beach in Guilford.  Last year’s service was canceled due to rain.  The service starts at 11am.  The food is pot luck…so please bring something to share. We are planning to have activities for the young children, but please do bring your beach toys (shovels, buckets, scoopers, nets, and water shoes).  Don’t forget your sun screen!

summerWe are seeking volunteers to help facilitate our Summer Fun & Games activities with the children during the summer worship series. The sign-up list is out and ready to go!  Youth 7th grade and older may sign up as facilitators.  Some spots are already taken, a good sign.  Don’t miss out on a fun opportunity to interact with our awesome children!

If you use a computer, which is a silly thing to say, you can sign up at this link from home or work:

It’s super easy and guess what?  It’s important for drawing new visitors to our church.  Lots of families church shop during the summer months.  Please consider volunteering.

We are also seeking RE teachers for next year, as well as a 4-6th grade male OWL facilitator.  The 4-6th grade OWL program is brief, only 8 sessions.  If you are interested in having an wonderful experience with our children, learning along with them about interesting and profound ideas, concepts, and religious thoughts, talk to Nate or Benna Lehrer.
