You should know Adam Lyke and Sarah Goddard who have been facilitating the 7-9th Grade OWL program this year—since late October. They just finished last Sunday! Congratulations! This comprehensive 26-week program, called “Our Whole Lives,” helps youth understand the physical and emotional changes of puberty, as well as understand that human beings are sexual throughout their entire lives. To be safe and healthy, it is important to learn a few things that parents cannot always comfortably teach on their own.
Our youth have learned that their own values are the key to guiding their complicated decision-making. They can identify their attitudes and feelings about themselves, their sexuality, and others’ sexuality, and how to show kindness and respect to others. That is huge! Will the congregation please join with me when we say to Adam and Sarah, “Thank you for your leadership!”
We are seeking volunteers to help facilitate our Summer Fun & Games activities with the children during the summer worship series. The sign-up list is out and ready to go! Youth 7th grade and older may sign up as facilitators. Some spots are already taken, a good sign. Don’t miss out on a fun opportunity to interact with our awesome children!
If you use a computer (which is a silly thing to say), you can sign up at this link from home or work:

It’s super easy and guess what? It’s important for drawing new visitors to our church. Lots of families church shop during the summer months. Please consider volunteering.
