A note from Ned:
I am 17 years old and beginning my senior year at Daniel Hand High School in Madison. I got involved with Raise the Roof last fall when I joined Daniel Hand High School’s Habitat for Humanity club. In my free time, I love to sail and spend time on or near the water. Over the summer, I worked as a sailing instructor in Clinton and a boatyard in Westbrook. During the weekends, I do a lot of competitive sailing as well.

This year, I will be co-leading the DHHS Habitat Club with Allyson, and I am looking forward to organizing fundraisers, attending builds, and much more throughout the school year. One of my favorite things that I have done so far has been helping run a talent show at the high school last spring, which was a huge fundraising success and a lot of fun.

While I knew becoming a leader of the club meant I would have a lot of responsibility, I had no idea I would be invited to participate in a dance event to start the year. It has been unnerving to think about practicing a dance routine, but the opportunity to raise a huge amount of money for such an important cause was something I couldn’t turn down. I am looking forward to raising a lot of money for Raise the Roof’s Habitat mission to help families build homes, and I’m sure I’ll have a good time dancing, too.

I am looking forward to participating in the Gala of Stars: Dancing for the Cause and continuing to make a difference as a member of Habitat for Humanity and Raise the Roof!

Thank you for your generosity and supporting my work with Habitat for Humanity and Raise the Roof.

Sincerely,
Ned Jobson
