Faith Formation News – 11/10/22

Thank you to ALL who took the time to VOTE for the Faith Formation Social Justice TO-GO Project last Sunday! The top three choices were:
1. Recycling Center
2. No-Sew Blankets & Scarves
3. Letter Box

This Sunday, November 13 at 9:30am there will be WORSHIP, Faith Formation & Childcare at SUUS! FF EXPLORERS will start putting together the Social Justice stations with the goal of being up and running during coffee hour following the Thanksgiving Service on November 20! Woohoo!

We also announced the Faith Formation TOY DRIVE starting TODAY so please bring an unwrapped toy (or two!) on Sunday. A special thanks to Mary Strieff for helping with the announcement!

Faith Formation Happenings

WORSHIP
Sunday, November 13 at 10:30am – Multiplatform Worship Service
Season of Change” with Rev. Jade Benson
In the midst of autumn’s beauty we anticipate the coming of winter as colorful leaves fall to the ground. Changes come, some welcome, others not so much. We adapt or we suffer more than we might. So, what’s that got to do with a congregation, with this one?

EXPLORATIONS & ACTIVITIES:
REGISTRATION: Children & youth must be REGISTERED ONLINE to participate in Faith Formation activities.
CHILDCARE: Childcare will be provided on Faith Formation days only. We encourage all families to participate in whole congregation worship for multigenerational services. Children ages preK and younger can sign-in with Childcare Assistant at 10:15pm in the Fellowship Hall. Parents/Guardians will need to sign children out after worship.

OWL Grades 7 – 9 (October through May. Dates to the end of the year below)
Sunday, November 13 at 10am – OWL #2 (Jennifer Swenson Facilitating & Driving!)
Sunday, December 4 at 10am – OWL #3
Saturday, December 17 – Sunday, December 18 Time TBD – OWL #4 & 5 Sleep-In @ SUUS!

Do you have a High School youth interested in joining Youth Group? All high school aged youth are welcome to participate and create together a space of friendship and fun! Youth Advisors for 2022-23 are Benna Lehrer & Amy Buckley Velasquez. Contact us for more details!

SOCIAL JUSTICE
Faith Formation TOY DRIVE!
We are so pleased to join “Faith’s Fifth Annual Toy Drive” in support of Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital Toy Closet.

GOAL FOR SUUS : 100 TOYS
GOAL FOR CAMPAIGN: 6000 TOYS
Drop-off any unwrapped toys at SUUS by December 9
(bin at the top of the steps or the toy box in the Fellowship Hall)

Thank you for supporting Raise the Roof & Ned Jobson!
SUUS donated a total of $1565.61! Ned and his partner raised almost $6000 and the whole event more than $100,000! Woohoo! All proceeds will go towards building new houses for Raise the Roof for Habitat for Humanity in our area.

SUPPORT Madison Food Pantry! Faith Formation will continue to support efforts to help stock the Madison Food Pantry! We will collect items listed below until further notice. Help spread the word and help Faith Formation with this SOCIAL JUSTICE project!

Little Free Library – Our LFL could use some more books! Please considering donating both children and adult books to replenish our library. For more information please contact our LFL Steward, Karis Lagasse. Thank you!
