In December we will once again share our plate with Operation Fuel, the country’s oldest fuel fund; its purpose is to provide year-round emergency energy assistance to every city and town in Connecticut and to advocate for policies that reduce the energy and utility burden on CT residents. It serves as the primary source of utility assistance for low- to moderate-income households who are struggling financially and have exhausted other options. Operation Fuel is currently helping 8,000 households in CT to keep their homes warm and their lights on, to power cooking appliances and medical equipment, to store food and medication, and to have access to running water for drinking, bathing, and laundry.
Please give as generously as you can. No one should have to worry about keeping the house warm and the lights on.
